Scholarship Guidelines for North Central Independent Agents (NCIA)

SUBJECT

The scholarship was established to provide Student Financial Assistance to a graduating High School senior, or current college student, in the member counties. To be eligible to receive the aware, the student must be a citizen of the United States , and must be assured of attending an accredited college or university. Each award is for a one (1) year period. No past winners can apply. We do encourage past applicants to apply.

CONDITIONS...

This scholarship is only available to an employee or family member of an Agency/Agent in good standing with the Local Association.

An applicant shall obtain and complete all of the information material required in the Scholarship Application Form. This form may be obtained from the Association an shall include the following:

  • Letter of application by the candidate providing general information about the candidate, past achievements and future goals.
  • Three character reference letters and a picture of the candidate.
  • Transcript of High School/College must include:
    • SAT or ACT scores
    • Rank in Class
    • GPA
    • Record of attendance (not needed to college student)
    • School/Extra-curricular activities (if not already provided)
  • Deadline for filing – Postmarked by June 15 of each year.
  • The scholarship committee will select the winner by June 25th.
  • Amount of scholarship will be up to $1,500.00 each scholastic year. The Scholarship is not renewable.
  • The application and introductory letter will be sent to all Agencies/Agents in good standing with the Association.
